It' Your Daughter Angel
There was a girl named Angel. Angel was from a broken family; her parents separated because of her father; her father had an affair with another girl; and the girl got pregnant. Angel was just 6 months old when her father left her and Maya. Maya is Angel's mother. Angel has grown up; she is now 8 years old and a grade 2 student, and she has no idea what happened to her family because Maya never told her what happened. Angel only hears rumors about her father; some people are saying that her father left because Angel's mother cheated on her father, and some people are also saying that her parents separated because her father had an affair with another girl and the girl got pregnant. She always wonders what the truth is about her father and why she has no father like the other kids, but even if she's wondering, she never asks her mother about it. Angel really loves her mother because she always takes good care of her, even if she's very tired. That's why she never asks her mother about her father because she's afraid that her mother will be hurt and get angry.
Until Angel got bullied in school because her classmates bullied her because she has no father, Angel cried because her classmates were making fun of her just because she didn't have a father. She didn't stop crying until she got home. When Angel arrived at home, her mother, Maya, wondered why her daughter was crying. Maya asked her daughter why she was crying, and she got shocked because her daughter answered her question too. Her daughter asked, "Mom, I hope you won't be angry with me." "Mom, where is my father?" "Why is he not here with us?" Maya softly answered, "Why are you asking that?" Angel answered, "My classmates were bullying me because I don't have a father like them; they are making fun of me because I don't know who my father is and because I never met him." Maya hugged her daughter tightly, and she also promised her daughter that after dinner, before going to sleep, she would tell her everything and make her understand the situation. When Maya found out that her daughter was being bullied in school because of her father, she felt guilty for her daughter, and it was really hard for her to see that her daughter was suffering because of their family situation.
After dinner, Maya told Angel everything about her father. Gladly, Angel understands and accepts everything. She is thankful to her mother for telling her the truth and making her understand everything. Angel still didn't know the face of her father because her mother doesn't have a picture of him, but she knew the name of her father, and it was "Toni". Angel is happy and content, but there is a side of her that wants to meet her father—maybe not now, but soon. And she said to herself that if her classmates and the other kids were bullying her again, she would just ignore them.
After many years, Angel has become a high school student, a first-year school student, and she's already 13 years old. She is happy because when she became a high school student she didn't experience being bullied in high school.
One day, Angel was waiting for a tricycle outside school to go home. And then one tricycle came, and she rode it. While riding home, Angel was shocked because the driver suddenly asked her about her identity. The driver is asking if she is Angel, the older daughter of Maya, and Angel answered yes. Angel wondered why this driver knew her and her mother, so Maya didn't hesitate to ask the driver, "Uncle, why do you know me and my mother"? And the driver answered "I'm your uncle; I'm your father's brother". Angel was very shocked; she didn't know what to say, and there were so many questions running through her head, asking, "Is this really happening?" Is this the time that I will meet my father?" And so many questions. Aya paused, then the driver asked, "Did you already meet your father?" "Do you have your father's number?" Aya answered that she has never met her father and doesn't have his number. The driver gave her the phone number of her father; he also said that she should contact him.
When Aya arrived at home, she was so happy to have her father's number and also to meet one of her father's brothers. Aya told her mother that she met one of her father's brothers, and he gave her his phone number. Aya asks her mother first if it is okay with her if she texts her father. Maya is shocked when Aya says that she wants to contact her father. She wants to stop her daughter because she doesn't want Aya to meet her father and because she's afraid that Aya will leave her and go with her father. But she saw how happy Aya was when she got the number of her father, and she also knew how much her daughter wanted to see him, so Maya allowed her daughter to text her father.
Even though Aya got her mom's permission, she was still hesitating to text her father because she was afraid of what his reply would be, or worse, if he would not reply. Aya decided to text him a hello. After a few minutes, her father replied, "Who is this?" Aya was so happy when her father replied, but she hesitated again, and it almost took Aya half an hour to reply to her father. She hesitated to tell him her name to his father because she was thinking, "What if her father doesn't like her? When Aya replied to her father, she said, "It's Aya, dad; it's your daughter." Aya waited for almost 2 hours, but she didn't receive a reply from her father. She cried in silence all night because she thought that her father didn't love her.
6 a.m. In the morning, Aya is already awake, and when she opens her phone, she has received a message at 4 a.m., and it is a message from his father. Her father replied with a long message. Her father said, "Hello, Aya, good morning. Sorry if I didn't reply last night; I wasn't able to reply because of the signal." "Aya, my dear, I'm so happy right now because I can talk to you, even if it is just in text." "I really miss you, Angel." "I'm sorry for everything that I've done to you and to your mother, and I understand if you are angry with me." "I love you.” "I can't wait to see you." Angel cried out of happiness. She can't explain the happiness that she felt at that time. Angel and her father only had a text and phone conversation because her father was not able to meet her because of work. After weeks of their conversation, her father invited her to her grandmother's birthday. Her father said, "Angel, can you come to your grandmother's birthday next week?" Angel replied, "Yes, dad, I would love to, but I will ask mom first." Angel asked her mom's permission, and her mom said yes.
The long wait for Angel is over. It is the day of Lola's birthday. When Angel was on the way to her Lola's birthday, she texted her father to say that she was on the way, but her father didn't reply because he was busy. When Angel arrived at her lola's house, her aunties and uncles welcomed her and her lola, and one of her aunties said, "Go to your father; he is there with your uncles. Her auntie pointed to a place where her father was. Angel went to that place, but she stopped and stood in front of those boys. She didn't recognize who her father was, so she just stood. Her aunt said, "Maybe Angel doesn't know who her father is." "Hey Toni, your daughter is here; call her because she cannot recognize you." And then Toni called his daughter "Angel." Angel went to her father and then bowed. She was so happy that day because she, her father, and her relatives had a great bond that day. That day, Toni asked Angel if she could visit his father's place and stay for at least a week. Angel said yes, but she would ask her mother first. Angel asked her mother's permission, but her mom didn't agree because she thought that Toni would take Aya away from her. Angel informed her father that her mother didn't agree. Her father said that he would talk to her mother and convince her to agree. Toni convinces Maya and explains everything to her that he will not get Angel away from her because he knows that even if he is the father, he has no right to take Angel away from Maya after what he did before. All Toni wants is to spend quality time with her daughter. After they talked, Maya agreed that Angel would visit Toni's place and stay for a week.
When Angel is in the place of her father, she is so happy. They really had a great time together; they sang, danced, cooked, and played. All they do is bond together. No words can express how happy she was. She's so happy that, finally, she already feels the feelings of a child who has a father. On the last night of her visit, her father asked her if it was okay if they would sleep together. And Aya happily answered yes. Aya hug her father and said "dad, I'm so happy right now, feels like I'm over the moon."
That night, Angel and her father had a heart-to-heart talk. Her father tells Angel everything about his side, and he knows that it is all his fault and he couldn't bring it back again, and he cannot make our family complete because he already has his own family and he is married. Angel's father hugged her tightly and cried for forgiveness from her daughter. Angel told her father not to worry about it because she's not angry, and before she meets her father, she already forgives him. All she really wants is to meet her father, hug him, feel his presence, bond with him, and experience the feeling of having a father for a while. And she was very thankful because his father gave it to her.
In the morning, Toni drove Angel back to her mother's house. When they arrived, Maya was in the outhouse waiting for Angel, so Angel asked her mother and father if they could take pictures together because she wanted to complete her family even just in the picture. After they took a picture together, Toni spoke to Maya, and Toni sincerely thanked Maya for allowing Angel to be with her for a week. Toni also asked for forgiveness from Maya; he also said that even if Maya cannot forgive him right now, he will wait.
